Bonanza Motel – Terms & Conditions
CANCELLATION POLICY
All motel room reservations are subject to a strict cancellation policy:
• Short-Term & Nightly Stays (1-6 nights): 7-day cancellation policy. Any changes or cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to 4:00 PM (PST) on the scheduled day of arrival.
• Extended Stays (7+ nights): 14-day cancellation policy. Any changes or cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to 4:00 PM (PST) on the scheduled day of arrival.
• Non-Refundable Period: Cancellations received within the required notice period will be charged for the full stay, including all taxes and fees.
• Deposits: A deposit amount, determined by management, is required to hold any pre-booked stay. Deposits are non-refundable if the cancellation occurs within the non-refundable period.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
• Check-in: Any time after 4:00 PM. Guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID upon check-in. All guests must register at the front desk.
• Check-out: 10:00 AM. Late check-out requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability and additional charges. Guests who fail to vacate the room on time may have their belongings removed by management.
• Early check-in & late check-out: These are not guaranteed and may incur extra charges if approved.
GUEST REGISTRATION & VISITOR POLICY
• Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
• No overnight visitors. All visitors must register at the front desk with valid government-issued photo ID before entering the property.
• Unauthorized guests will result in immediate eviction without refund.
STRICT NO-SMOKING POLICY
Bonanza Motel is a 100% smoke-free property. Smoking of any kind (including tobacco, cannabis, and vaping) is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas, including rooms and common spaces.
• A $250 fine will be charged for smoking in the room or inside any part of the motel building.
• Guests who violate this policy may have their stay terminated immediately without a refund.
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, Bonanza Motel enforces a strict zero tolerance policy on the following:
• No parties or loud gatherings. If a noise complaint is received, guests will be given one warning. If the issue continues, the stay will be immediately terminated without a refund.
• No disruptive behavior. This includes fighting, threats, verbal abuse, or any conduct that disturbs other guests or staff.
• No illegal activities. Any guest found engaging in illegal activities (including drug use, gambling, or possession of contraband) will be removed immediately without refund and may be reported to authorities.
NO PETS POLICY
• No pets allowed. Guests who bring unauthorized pets will be charged a $250 fine and may have their stay terminated without a refund.
PAYMENT POLICY
• All payments must be made by e-Transfer or cash.
• Credit or debit card payments are not accepted.
• A security deposit may be required at management’s discretion and will be refunded after check-out, provided there are no damages or violations.
• Lost or damaged items (e.g., keys, remotes, appliances) will be charged to the guest.
• Lost key fee: $50
• Other damages: Charges based on cost of repair or replacement.
HOTEL INNKEEPERS ACT – NOT RESIDENTIAL TENANCY
All stays at Bonanza Motel are governed by the Hotel Innkeepers Act of British Columbia. Guests do not have tenant rights under the Residential Tenancy Act. This means:
• Guests are not tenants and have no rental protections under landlord-tenant laws.
• Management reserves the right to terminate any stay at any time for violations of motel policies without the need for formal eviction proceedings.
• Guests must vacate the property immediately if instructed by management due to policy violations.
By booking and staying at Bonanza Motel, guests acknowledge and agree to these terms.
GENERAL PROPERTY RULES
• No hazardous materials. Flammable items, explosives, illegal substances, and weapons are strictly prohibited.
• No damage to motel property. Guests will be charged for any damages caused to furniture, appliances, or fixtures.
• No blocking hallways or public areas. Personal belongings must remain inside guest rooms.
• No excessive noise after 10 PM.
• Management has the right to refuse service to anyone who does not comply with motel policies.
By staying at Bonanza Motel, guests agree to abide by all terms and conditions outlined above. Failure to comply will result in immediate eviction without refund.
